Fall Parent Teacher Gathering
This is just a reminder that on Thursday, October 24th, we will be holding our Fall Parent Teacher Gathering for our Salish community.
- Session 1 2:20pm – 4:00pm
- Session 2 4:50pm – 6:30pm
Sessions will consist of in-person and student-led conferences, as well as some virtual appointments. The majority of appointments will be in-person.
Appointments will be open for booking through our from Monday October 14th until Tuesday October 22nd at midnight. When booking appointments through the online portal, teacher appointment slots that are labelled with a “drop-in”prompt indicate that parents can come anytime during the following times for student-led conferences. Booking appointments will be on a first come, first served basis. Once you click the link above, you will have the opportunity to book an appointment for each of your child's teachers during the time that the portal is open. A separate appointment will be necessary for each child and each of their teachers.
Please review the attachment for instructions on how to register and the link below to sign up. Session times will run 10 minutes. If you believe that you will need more time, you can arrange another meeting at a later date. As well, some teachers may have limited availability on the 24th and alternative appointments may be arranged.
On that night, we will also be holding a Parent Information Session to address the effects of cell-phone usage in our school. Parents can sign up for one of two 1-hour sessions that will have teachers, counsellors and administrators talk about students mental health, distraction and disengagement, and concerns about cyber-bullying. There will be a link available for parents to sign up for this session in the same area as Parent Teacher Conferences.
